Hi, I'm Hope Meier.
Recording Engineer/Producer
Hello! I'm Hope. I am a Music Technology major at Capital University, I have been learning about analog and digital ways to record. I am beginning to develop favorite microphones for specific instruments so that sessions will be smoother. I have attended the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe Ohio and did both programs offered there. I did an internship with Rock City Church.
Current Projects: Professional website, mastering mixes, recording new bands.

I have taken a course to teach me how to make websites and I enjoy every single one I make. I have worked on websites for nonprofit organizations, a surgery center, a blog website, a gaming website, and my own website! I love to help others achieve their dreams through technology.
How I Fell In Love With Music
I started band in 5th grade. I played trumpet and wasn’t very good at it, so I decided I should switch instruments. It was 7th grade and a close friend at the time had offered to teach me how to play the flute. She taught me in study halls and we had a blast. That summer I taught myself how to play a little bit more. 8th grade I played flute in band. I felt so behind writing in what the notes were because they were higher than I had previously played on trumpet. That 8th year we played a piece called “Andrew Lloyd Webber in Concert” it was great I loved to play it constantly. Music then was just a blast because in middle school your still learning and devolving how to play your instrument.
Then came 9th grade... I signed up for marching band because my best friends did it too. I was terrified. That was only the second year I played my flute, and I had to march, play , and memorize music! I know that sounds crazy but I did it. Freshman year of High School will always be the year I learned that I fell in love with music. Our show was based around the great music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. We played “Memory” and“Go Go Go Joseph” from Webber's Musicals. One piece stuck out more than any piece of music ever did to me. We played “The Phantom of The Opera” theme from Webber's Musicals. The more I played the piece the more I fell in love. "The Phantom of The Opera" is always going to be known as my first love of music. The music of this opera stole my heart and I fall in love with it every time I listen to it.

Faith Building
I grew up in a christian household and a christian school, I loved it. I enjoyed going to chapel on Tuesday to sing and learn about stories in the Bible and relating them to what I can do with my life. I made great friends at Grove City Christian, some I grew up with for the full 13 years I went there. I found my love for music there, and now I'm strong in my faith and aspire to grow stronger everyday.
Current verses: Romans 12:8 NLT (My favorite).

Life Goals
Being blessed to go to college long enough to have two majors and a minor for my future is a really great thing. The music technology degree is for me to do audio engineering and record and help write music for video games.
For the education side of it I want to conduct middle school or begin young players on instruments. I love seeing the joy kids have getting their instrument or finally understanding something that was confusing.
The worship arts minor is huge to me. My biggest way of really connecting with God is through worship, I love every second of it. I would enjoy working in a church, especially in the technology side of it.
